S’s opinion: This story is massive! It has plots and subplots and subplot of subplots, which are all tightly reigned and entwined. It’s the best, most well thought out, well written Inuyasha/Kagome I’ve ever read (once upon a time I read almost nothing else… ^^’) and it will spoil you for all other InuKag fiction there is. The writer is incredibly talented, the dialogue is brilliant, the characters are spot on and the plot is incredibly well thought out. It is what might have happened, what I would have preferred to have happened. A prime example of just plain good writing and an example for many writers out there.

It’s very long though, took me a while to read it through. But then again, I take my time with good books to savour them. Read it, and don’t miss a single paragraph.

S’s opinion: I don’t read much LotR fanfiction, but this one I loved. It’s a spinoff of all those MarySue-fics where the Sue somehow ends up in Middle Earth and everyone falls in love with her. Well, this time it’s different. The OC can’t speak the language, doesn’t really deal well with sleeping outdoors, doesn’t know how to wash her clothes in a river and has an awful temper. Like how you would expect a modern day woman behaving in Middle Earth. So, hilarous and exciting and just really really interesting. It follows the books, but not slavishly and concentrates on how the main character, Penny, survives and learns to live in the new world.

Also surprisingly insightful and gives new angles to an old story. Much thought has gone into this one.
